The Governor of Virginia appoints 13 Members to the Virginia Commercial Space Flight Authority Board, including two representatives from our partner, Maryland. VCSFA is a not-for profit organization created in 1995 by the Virginia General Assembly. MARS, The Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport, is the trade name for the launch company. President, Old Dominion University
Appointed as the eighth president of Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA in May 2009.
As President, Broderick guides the university's six colleges, more than 10 economic development and research centers, and numerous partnerships with government and business organizations and agencies. He oversees an operating budget of $441.3 million and more than 2,500 faculty and staff members.

Mr. Boles is the General Manager, Advanced Technology Division at The Aerospace Corporation in Chantilly, VA and also serves as AIAA - Vice-President – International; Board Chairman for the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport (MARS) appointed by VA Governor. He is also a Full Member – International Academy and Astronautics (IAA). Term of office – 7/1/10 – 6/30/13

Appointed by Virginia Governor Tim Kaine to the Board of Directors of the Virginia Commercial Space Flight Authority in 2008 and to the membership of the Virginia Aerospace Advisory Council. Mr. Kenney holds a B.Sc. in Business & Public Administration; a B.A. in Organizational Management; a M.A. in Political Science, M.Sc. in Space Law & Policy; and, J.D. to practice Law in Virginia. Mr. Bull currently serves as Virginia’s Northampton County Representative to the Virginia Commercial Space Flight Authority Board of Directors. Term of office – 7/1/09 -6/30/12

Accomack County VA Representative
John Jester is a graduate of the College of William and Mary and following graduation was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Army with service in Vietnam. He began his civilian Federal government career in law enforcement and security in 1971 and held numerous leadership positions in the Federal Protective Service. In 1987, he established the Defense Protective Service at the Pentagon. Following 911, he lead the organization into the newly formed Pentagon Force Protection Agency and served as its Director until he retired in 2006. Mr. Jester returned to his hometown on Chincoteague Island where he serves as a town councilman and on numerous boards. Term of office – 7/1/10 -6/30/13
